I went today with my friend because she recommended here saying it's her go to soontofu soup place. She ordered soontofu soup but with the fish roe, and I ordered sullungtang. For the sullungtang, I absolutely loved it so much. I added salt and the black pepper in it, and it was perfect. The vermicelli noodle in sullungtang was a lot which I loved. The soup was clear with a rich beef broth. The banchan was amazing too! The kimchi was so fresh, and every banchan was so good. I also tried my friend's soontofu soup, and it was delicious as well. The service was great. She was really friendly. The portions and the prices were generous, and the ambiance had a bit of a korean traditional vibe. I will definitely come back again!

Located within the small food court inside G Mart Korean supermarket in Linwood, WA, Cho Dang Tofu (three total locations in the Seattle area) serves up a small menu focused on sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) along with accompaniments. It was a satisfying weekday late dinner. Like most food stalls in a Korean food court, it is a 2 person operation with a main cook behind the scenes and a front-of-house person taking care of order taking. I didn't expect table service in a food court, but they provided it here. First, glasses of complementary warm barley tea (refilled regularly) was provided to the three of us. Laminated menus were handed over, and each of us got a variation of the tofu stew ($16). Each came with a sizzling stone pot of rice (choice of purple or white) and shared refillable banchan (6). An important choice is the level of spiciness, and since this was my first time, I chose to stay conservative and choose level 2 (mild) on a scale of 5. Definitely could have gone up a level or two without issue. The meals were delivered right to the table a bit later. The rice was indeed cooked in a stone pot and just like rock cooker bibimbap, produced a thick layer of crunchy rice at the bottom that many people adore. I had chosen the combo jjigae, and it came with a decent amount of protein (mix of shrimp, clams, beef, and pork) and soft tofu. I tried all the banchan, and really liked the pickled cucumber kimchee and the braised potato. With two other restaurants providing customers, the shared dining area had a decent number of people eating. It was a good atmosphere, and with the communal dishes, ended up being an informal and satisfying meal.

Great korean restaurant inside the G Mart grocery store. Service is fast and efficient and quick with getting your order. Although non conversant if you ask them what's good in the menu. I think they just want to get your order as quick as possible. Price is good and they have lunch combos as well.

We ordered soups from here via instacart/ Uber eats and picked up the order ourselves. The food was ready in a box when I arrived which made it easy to carry it out. I appreciate that they used cardboard boxes instead of plastic bags. I got Combo Tofu Soup and my husband got Kimchi Tofu Soup with pork. Both soups were very good and it had a lot of silky Tofu. We selected medium spicy level and they were not that spicy. I might go with spicy next time. Rice came in small boxes and we had 4 small cups of side dishes between 2 of us. Overall, the food is pretty good.

Cute and cozy restaurant tucked into the side of a supermarket. There was only one waiter but our tea and sides were always promptly refilled. The food was good too. We ordered a bulgogi combo, spicy pork combo, and bibimbap. One thing to note is that their food is not too spicy so I felt the spicy pork was more sweet than spicy and a three spice level for the tofu soup was personally not very spicy. As there's another Cho Dang in Bellevue, the sides for this one were a bit different - I really liked the pickled cucumbers!

Inside G.M Mart immediately to the left when you walk in is this very small food cord. There is some Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. This place, the Korean, had a lot of great reviews so we gave it a shot. Wow! We were not disappointed. It exceeded any expectation that you might have. Which given that it's inside of a grocery store. Could be low. But make a mistake. Incredibly flavorful really well thawed out menu. Hot and fresh made. We had the kimchi stew with pork, Beef, stone bowl, and of course, all of the banchan. (Honestly the only thing that could've been a little more exciting. It was pretty basic, but they were all very tasty.) With some complementary tea, and the portions were just perfect.

Located inside the g mart along with a couple other restaurants. We ordered the combo tofu soup and the lunch portion bulgogi. I liked that the tofu soup came with an essentially unbroken block of tofu :p decent spread of banchan for the Seattle area, and my fav part was that rice comes in a hot stone by default so you can enjoy crispy rice without the need for a bibimbap.
